Dr Peter Bluer and Vernon Jenkins, have spent many years researching the patterns first discovered in modern times by Dr Ivan Panin. Bluer and Jenkin’s work has extended this to show some very interesting geometrical patterns in the Hebrew and the Greek. The most published example is the following Hebrew text.
Firstly, if we just count the words and letters in the following Hebrew sentence, we find some astonishing features. Remember Hebrew reads right to left and was originally written without any spaces between words.
#1 The number of words in this text is exactly 7 = 1 x 7
#2 The number of letters in these seven words is exactly 28 = 4 x 7
#3 The number of letters in the subject and verb (words 1, 2, 3), is exactly 14 = 2 x 7
#4 The fourth and fifth words have exactly 7 letters = 7
# 5 The sixth and seventh words have exactly 7 letters = 7
#6 The total number of letters in the three nouns, (words 3, 5, 7) is exactly 14 = 2 x 7
#7 The number of letters in the middle word eth (word 4) and the word to its left is exactly 7
#8 The number of letters in the middle word eth and the word to its right is exactly 7
There are 8 features in this short passage which are a multiple of seven. The probability that they all occur in this one passage just by chance, is one in 7 multiplied by itself 8 times, i.e. 1 in 5,764,801 times. Sufficient for claiming design? Probably not for some, but there is more to discover as we will soon see.
We can now look at this sentence from another angle. In the Hebrew (and the Greek), each letter has a value. These can be found by a simple search of the internet but are given here for the reader’s convenience.
If we apply these values to the letters and sum them for each word, we arrive at the numeric value of the word or if we sum them for the whole sentence, we arrive at the numeric value of the sentence. In the picture below, the value of each letter of the above Hebrew sentence is written underneath the letters, with the total for the whole word below that.
These word values appear to be just random numbers until some investigating is done. The numbers are beyond the view of those who just read a translation of the Hebrew text. They are mysteriously hidden beneath the surface of the Hebrew and can be discovered only by thorough investigation. This is what they reveal.
#9 The total numeric value of the three nouns (words 3, 5, 7) is 86+395+296 i.e. exactly 777 = 111 x 7
#10 The value of the sole Hebrew verb, (word 2), is exactly 203 = 29 x 7
#11 The value of the first, two middle and last letters in the verse is 133 = 19 x 7
#12 The value of the first and last letters of each of the 7 words is 1,393 = 199 x 7
#13 The value of the first and last letters of the first and last words is 497 = 71 x 7
#14 The value of the first and last letters of each of the remaining words is 896 = 128 x 7
#15 The value of the last letters of the first and last words is 490 = 70 x 7
There are now a total of 15 features in these 7 words which are a multiple of seven. The probability that they all occur in this one sentence just by chance, is one in 7 multiplied by itself 15 times, i.e. 1 in 4,747,561,509,943 times. This is such a microscopically small probability that it would occur just by chance, and so the fact that such a sensibly written sentence does exist, we have to conclude that it did not occur by chance at all but rather by design.
As we continue the investigation, we find several numbers or groups of numbers from this Hebrew sentence that are factors of 37.
#1 The sum of all numeric values (i.e. its sentence value) is 2701 = 73 x 37
#2 Value of last word is 296 = 8 x 37
#3 Value of second last word is 407 = 11 x 37
#4 Values 395 + 86 = 481 = 13 x 37
#5 Values 203 + 401 + 395 = 999 = 27 x 37
#6 Values 86 + 913 = 999 = 27 x 37
#7 Values 401 + 203 + 913 = 1517 = 41 x 37
Thus there are 7 features in these 7 words which are a multiple of thirty-seven. The probability that they all occur in this one sentence just by chance, is one in 37 multiplied by itself 7 times, i.e. 1 in 94,931,877,133 times. This combined with the 15 features above is an infinitesimally small probability that all these features would occur just by chance, and so the fact that such a sensibly written sentence does exist, we have to conclude that it did not occur by chance but rather by design.
And what is the English translation of these seven words:
In beginning, Elohim created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1)
This is the very first verse in what is generally known as The Bible.
Let's now take all this a step further.
The total numeric value of the whole sentence (913+203+86+401+395+407+296) is 2701 whose factors are 37 and 73.( i.e. 2701 = 37 x 73). While 2701 is not a factor of 7, one can see that there are sevens associated with it. Given the analysis above, one might have even expected that this value would have been a factor of seven to complete the whole story. The fact that it doesn't, perhaps begs us to look further to see if there be anything else of significance about this 2701 number. On investigation we will see that there is something even more astonishing built into the seven words.
Firstly, I point out that both 37 and 73 are prime numbers, meaning neither number has any other factors. Also make a mental note for now that the two numbers are the reverse image of each other. We will see soon the importance of this.
On further investigation we find that the number 2701 happens to be the triangular value of the 73rd triangular number. Don’t know what a triangular number is? Let me quickly explain.
In the picture following one can see 4 triangular shapes filled with balls. The number of balls in each triangle is its triangular value. The first 5 triangular numbers have the following values: 1, 3, 6, 10 and 15. One can see that T5 has 5 balls along each side and the centre filled perfectly. Pool players will be familiar with this arrangement of the 15 pool table balls. Notice that if it is the 5th Triangular Number, T5, it has 5 balls along each side of the triangle. The 4th Triangular number has 4 balls on each side, and so on. Notice too all these triangles have equal length sides. This makes them what are called, equilateral triangles. You don't need to know that but it is an interesting observation. This diagram below can be built right up to any triangular number.
Going back now to the numeric value of the sentence, 2701, and its prime number factors, 37 and 73, we discover something very interesting about the number 73. We discover that the 73rd triangular number called T73 has a value of exactly 2701. We can calculate the value of T73 from the formula, Tn = n(n+1)/2 where n is the triangular number required. Thus for T73 we read the formula as 73 multiplied by (73+1) and all divided by 2. So we have (73 x 74)/2 = 73 x 37 = 2701. Let me ask you: What are the chances that both factors of a number are prime numbers, that the factors are the reverse image of each other and that one of the factors will give a triangular value equal to the number? After investigating the first one million numbers, there is only one value which has two prime numbers as factors, whose factors are the reverse image of the other and whose triangular value of one of the factors is the number itself. That number is 2701. That is 1 chance in 1,000,000 at least. Of course it could be an even smaller chance of 1 in ten million but I have not the skill to search all these possibilities. It is striking, is it not, that this Hebrew sentence has built into it a 1 chance in a million feature and all this written 1400 years before numeric values were even ascribed to the Hebrew letters about 200BC. Think about that and what it tells us. Chance or design?
But as they say, There is more.
Let’s continue. The graphic below shows the 73rd Triangle of value 2701. Is it coincidence that it can be divided into 3 equal blue triangles and 1 yellow triangle? The 3 blue triangles each have 666 balls (I use hexagons as they are easier to draw), while the yellow triangle has 703 hexagons. Each blue triangle has 36 hexagons on each side, which means each is a 36th triangular number. T36 = (36 + 37)/2 = 666. The yellow triangle has 37 hexagons on each side and so is the 37th triangular number. T37 = ( 37 + 38)/2 = 703. Add this all together and you get 666 + 666 + 666 + 703 = 2701. Or we could write T36 + T36 + T36 + T37 = 2701.
All this is very interesting, but is it significant? Yes it is. Read on.
Let’s go back now to our Hebrew text. I have repeated a previous graphic below for your convenience.
Consider now that the first five words of this text have a total numeric value of 913 + 203 + 86 + 401 + 395 = 1998. Once again a seemingly insignificant number, but 1998 happens to be 666 x 3. Note the three blue triangles above are each of value 666! So these first five words give three triangular values each of 666. In itself this is not remarkable, but when we add to it the remaining two words which have a value of 703, we do have something very remarkable, since 703 is the triangular number of the other factor of 2701, 37, hence T37 = 703. What are the chances that a seven word sentence can have the features mentioned above, have a numeric value of 2701, the factors of which form two triangular numbers, interwoven with three other triangular numbers and all this forming a perfect triangular number in itself. Add to this the 1 in a million chance above and we have an extraordinarily astonishing coincidence, or is it design?
But the astonishment does not end here. Dr Bluer discovered that the first verse of John’s gospel, which also begins with the phrase “in beginning”, has a total numeric value of 3627 and that this number of hexagons fits perfectly under the T73 triangle to give yet another perfect triangular number, T112.
Let’s confirm all this by considering this verse written in the Greek capital letters. The sentence is as follows. Greek reads left to right.
ΕΝ ΑΡΧΗΙ ΗΝ Ο ΛΟΓΟΣ ΚΑΙ Ο ΛΟΓΟΣ ΗΝ ΠΡΟΣ ΤΟΝ ΘΕΟΝ ΚΑΙ ΘΕΟΣ ΗΝ Ο ΛΟΓΟΣ
Set out in the table below are the values for each letter and word.
(I repeat here for your convenience an earlier graphic of the numeric values of the Greek letters, this time in upper case Greek, which are used in determining the values in the table below. It makes no difference whether we use upper or lower case.)
Summing these word values, gives us a sentence value of 3627. This seems to be no special number but what we find is, that when 3627 is added to 2701 we get 6328 which we find to be the value of the triangular number T112. Let’s check this using the formula. T112 = 112(112+1)/2 = 113 x 56 = 6328. Thus 3627 adds perfectly to the T73 triangle given above, to form T112. This is shown in the following diagram.
What are the chances that the numeric value of this first sentence in John’s gospel, written hundreds of years after Genesis 1:1 would add perfectly to the triangle formed by the Genesis 1:1 text?
And what does this Greek text translate as:
In beginning, was the Logos and the Logos was with the Deity and the Logos was Deity. (John 1:1)
The two passages, Hebrew and Greek, dovetail together in an utterly extraordinary way, not just by chance but rather by design. Bear in mind that the Greek language was not even invented when the Hebrew was written.
____________________________________________
There are some other “coincidences” associated with the Greek.
For ease of checking the numerics, I have repeated an earlier graphic here.
1. The word for Jesus in the nominative case in the Greek is ΙΗΣΟΥΣ. The numeric value of this word is 10 + 8 + 200 + 70 + 400 + 200 = 888 = 24 x 37
This is the same as the sum of three Hebrew words quoted in Gen 1:1 above: 407 + 395 + 86 = 888
2. The word Christ in the Greek (in the nominative case) is ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ. The numeric value is 600 + 100 + 10 + 200 + 300 + 70 + 400 + 200 = 1480 = 5 x 296 = 40 x 37. Note the last Hebrew word in the Genesis 1:1 text above, has a value of 296.
3. The values of names or titles of Jesus Christ (in the nominative case) are multiples of 8.
Jesus, ΙΗΣΥΟΣ, = 888 = 3 x 37 x 8
Christ, ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ, = 1480 = 185 x 8
Son of the Mankind, ΥΙΟΣ ΤΟΥ ΑΝΘΡΩΠΟΥ, = 2960 = 2 x 5 x 37 x 8
Saviour, ΣΩΤΗΡ, = 5 x 17 x 8
Messiah, ΜΕΣΣΙΑΣ, = 2 x 41 x 8
Son, ΥΙΟΣ, = 5 x 17 x 8
Lord, ΚΥΡΙΟΣ, = 100 x 8
4. A number of phrases or titles of Satan in the New Testament in Greek are found to be factors of 13.
The Antichrist, Ο ΑΝΤΙΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ, = 1911 = 147 x 13
Belial, ΒΕΛΙΑΡ, = 78 = 6 x 13
Dragon, ΔΡΑΚΩΝ, = 975 = 75 x 13
Serpent, ΟΦΙΣ, = 780 = 60 x 13
Tempter, ΠΕΙΡΑΖΩΝ, = 1053 = 81 x 13
The one called Devil and the Satan, Ο ΚΑΛΟΥΜΕΝΟΣ ΔΙΑΒΟΛΟΣ ΚΑΙ Ο ΣΑΤΑΝΑΣ, = 70 + 886 + 387 + 31 + 70 + 753 = 2197 = 13 x 13 x 13
Your call. Did all this happen by chance or do you think it could only have been designed.
If you choose design, read the Book to find out who the designer is!
Wisdom is a tree of Life to all who take hold of her; and blessed are they that hold her fast.
(Proverbs 3:18)
